How much an album sells in its first week is usually dependent on what the public and the critics thought of the last album.
IYRTITL was a good project (even though Drake used fraudulent tactics to make its bangers, which is actually why it was good). With that and singles like 0 to 100, which was admittedly pretty dope, and Hotline Bling, the public was hyped for the album.
But Views was a musical letdown. Most people who bought it hadn't heard it before they did, and they were disappointed with it. Not just on here, but the public in general, and also the critics.
A historical example of this happening would be Wayne's Carter IV. Sold almost a million copies in its first week, but people weren't fukking with it. From there, the falloff was dramatic: I Am Not A Human Being II only sold 200k in its first week, and people liked it even less. And I think Wayne is at least top 25 of all time, but he's become almost totally irrelevant, unless the Carter V is fire.
So Drake's career will most likely follow a similar pattern. After the hype dies down, people will stop checking for him. Like 50, like Wayne.
