What are some social views you once held on to for years that you've since given up later in life?

Youtube, Facebook and Twitter are innovative sources of uniting people and expanding discourse.

Both sides are the same.

Homosexuality is a gateway to pedophilia.

Consuming porn and masturbating frequently is fine and healthy.

Smoking pot often, on a daily basis is a totally fine and sustainable activity.

Women reject nice guys and appreciate a$$holes.

Streaming platforms will never replace traditional home entertainment consoles.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a great video game franchise.

Dudes that talk about depression and mental health issues are pretentious weirdos.

Country music sucks.

Heavy Metal sucks.

Trap music sucks.

Parents must be hard on their kids, even if they dont understand.

People, especially black people, must honor their parents for raising them, even if they were hard on their kids, and difficult to deal with.

I used to think that growing up in a rough environment was completely bad despite growing up in a rough environment myself.

I used to think that I could have white/non-Black friends without them thinking I'm "not like the other ones" and that I could trust them to not use the N-Word at all/around me because I don't/have never used it around them and I find it disrespectful coming out of a white/non-Black mouth. (I was younger than I am now).

I used to believe in supporting any Black owned business just because they were Black owned, but then realized this is MY money I'm spending. Not saying I won't ever support a certain Black owned business, but the food, clothing, etc. has to be somewhat decent. A couple months back me and my family went to a soul food place and we waited an hour and 45 minutes to get our food... And we were the first people there, meaning no customers were there when we ordered our food.
