I'm actually a fan of Roman, and never felt the need to turn him heel just because neckbeards don't like him (matter of fact, if he turned heel most of those motherfukkers would cheer it, achieving the exact opposite effect of what a heel should do), but this redemption story idea, if true, will never work so a heel turn is the most sensible thing to do.
