"Of course Hip Hop is something that's very important to Black people but it's a lot of other things that are important to us that we tend to neglect like family structure.
I wasn't sure at first, but this was the part where I was sure he was on some c00n ish. "Well maybe black people need some family values!" is Fox News-type deflection BS.

And dude is rambling because he knows he's on some bullshyt. That whole "I'm just happy to have a job and pay my rent" mindset is exactly what they want you to have and aspire to. That way black folks stay content with the crumbs and the dominant society gets to keep eating the fruits of your labor.

Having said all that...a lot of times younger dudes can be c00ns because they haven't been put up on game by anyone. Some young dudes, you show them real knowledge of self and they're able to break out of the trance white supremacy lulls you into. Which is what I'm hearing from Vince, he's been lulled to sleep.

White people invented basketball?
:patrice::scust:

Overall I agree with the general view: let Iggy be Iggy, who cares. All we're doing is extending her career.

all of that is a damned lie. all of it.

in fact, show me all that shyt about XXL and the source because they both reviewed his first album, the source even stamped him as unsigned hype...

and this was eminems first music video appearance and i remember it coming on BET rap city all the time:

yeah...there was a "POP" artist on a record with KRS-1, Pharaoh Monche, WU-Tang Clan, and Chino XL in 1999....:beli:

I didn't say he was vanilla ice, that was the initial perception of eminem, "poppy sensation"

He got unsigned hype yes but after he blew up it was a different story, it's why he ended up beefin with them & why he dissed XXL on mmlp.

man, at the end of the day eminem is NOT an iggy, vanilla ice, or marky mark

i remember hearing eminem on the underground hip hop sites, back when the only thing online was a realplayer streaming that shyt on 56k dial up, and nobody even knew he was white - no photo's, no marketing, nothing, just the music.

sure when he dropped it was that "high my name is slim shady" but that's the business side of it, you have to sell records, but make no mistake about it, eminem is HIP HOP through and through
