I knew of Vince Staples since waaaaay back when Earl first album dropped in 2010
His background is a little murky to me because his story changed so many damn times over the years, he just recently started sticking hard with the Long Beach shyt, before then he was from Florence(Listen to Versace Rap) and before then he was from Compton(He mentioned that he was kidding about that, but I think he did live in compton for awhile with his moms, so don't quote me).
When he came into the game though, bruh was skateboarding and talking hella proper. Bruh had the OF type lyrics about raping and murder and shyt, I'm not gonna say he's not who he says he is because I don't know the man personally but this crip shyt didn't really start coming up until 2012. He's one of my favorite rappers though, dude is really dope, and he sounds authentic as hell regardless of how murky his past is.

Also, there's a really funny video out there somewhere of him busting his ass on a skateboard, I think it was taken down but my god is it funny
