All facts hip hop is less popular now and the labels have turned the water off on a lot of acts.

From that date Vince mentioned 2017 to now look at all the rappers that “fell off”.
Off the top of my head, the list is :wow:

He drained all the energy out of that room :picard:

Then people obviously don’t care lol. People are trying to end Drake or Kendrick’s career. Same people don’t buying albums. Dudes got to live on the road to get money. I bet Taylor ain’t got those problems.

Agreed! The existence of Drake has allowed this to happen. I heard him, Taylor and Bad Bunny made 65% of the industries $ last year.
To be fair, music had a WOAT year last year. Drake, Bunny, and Swift are three major acts that did something last year, so of course they made money.

This year is different.... Metro and Future dropped, Beyonce dropped, Swift dropped, Ye dropped, Ariana dropped, and there are a murderers row of artists with project lined up for release this year. 2024 is looking to be HUGE for the music industry and the 3 top earners will probably be different than last year.

Plenty of people will eat this year and not because Drake allows them to. Please stop giving him so much power.
