Who's ready to see a 39-year-old battle two 21-year-olds?
Former slam dunk champion, and quite possibly the greatest dunker of all-time in
Vince Carter, isn't ready to rule out a potential return to the Dunk Contest despite nearing his 40s.
"It's possible," Carter
told reporters recently with some slight trepidation. "I don't know if I could win, but I would make it interesting, to say the least."
More than just the shackles of old age, Carter would encounter two vicious dunkers in their prime between
Zach LaVine and
Aaron Gordon. Those two put on performances in the Dunk Contest this February that rivaled Carter's legendary showing in 2000.
