my main gripe is that this match didn't even seem to get anywhere near the 5th gear. it got to like gear 2 and that was it. insanely forgettable but hey, Cena got that 17 though and he deserves that

What a fumble of an all timer angle. Over 2 months to do 3 promos together, match was intentionally boring because a real heel is boring (false, in all media, heels need to be entertaining), a match built for fukkery has the lamest fukkery finish in ages, crowd seemed to turn on Cody, Rock couldn't be fukked to be involved at all in a story that started entirely centered around him, and it is built in for Cena to be gone for weeks/months anyway.

On the post show they openly called the match a clunker lmao
