Not for them, they’re fully invested in the concept of the model minority. They’re militant assimilationists and staunch supporters of white hegemony. They bleach their skin for a reason. British colonialism was so oppressive that Indian’s even changed the skin color of many of their depicted gods from black to blue (e.g., Krishna, whose name literally means black). It was done in order to put some distance between their dieties and the local skin gradiations of Indians.
