He's not some poor kid from the Dominican or Cuba. His dad played in Montreal and California and he was born in Montreal. You think his dad would've taught him some English knowing he would have a chance to play baseball in North America. Many hockey players born and raised in Europe speak English fluently. William Nylander who plays from the Maple Leafs was born in Calgary to Swedish NHLer and he was raised in Sweden and he speaks English fine.

Why do you care what language he speaks? Let me guess you speak 5 different languages. Shut your bum ass up. Ol "THIS IS AMERICA SPEAK ENGLISH". You whites are retarded

Blue Jays also have Craig Biggio’s son starting and Dante Bichette’s son in AAA, who will probably be called up later this season

If I lived or were to find employment in a non English speaking country I'd learn the language. This isn't an English first mentality. It's no excuse that both of his parents lived in North America and he doesn't know any English. Does he have to learn it, no but wouldn't you learn the language of a country you'll be living in for a long time.

Don't forget Kacy Clemens and Griffin Conine are also in the Blue Jays system.

:what:

They teach English in elementary school onwards in Sweden. The whole country speaks it. That is not the case in DR. Vlad Jr. was born in Montreal but spent the majority of his life in DR. The Dominican Republic does not = Europe, where some level of English is pretty much uniform.

Also your talking like dude is some economic migrant :heh: The fact his Dad was well off and that he is a star player actually gaves him less incentive to learn. He is comfortable regardless. His jersey is already flying off the shelves in Toronto.
