Sir, your wife is correct. Beyonce can sing better than Mary and in comparison to each other you can hear who has a better trained voice. Beyond has exceptional range, better pitch and clarity. Mary has okay range. Mary sounds good, but she is the people's champion and their flaws are often overlooked because of a connection fans have with them..

Edit: Mary has much more soul and feeling in her voice, that's something that can't be practiced, it's natural. But overall Beyonce has a better voice.
