Volvo C30 Polestar to cost $32,445 in the U.S.

Volvo will release a new C30 Polestar edition model in the U.S. that costs $32,445. The interest for the Volvo C30 hatchback failed to match the popularity of the newer S60 compact sports sedan but this special edition model is expected to have a better showing. Volvo will offer only 250 units in the U.S. It will arrive in dealerships this November. Volvo will be introducing a C30 hatch variant that gets a boost in power to 250hp. This car will arrive at showrooms this November. It will have a starting price of $32,445. As is typical of a Polestar-edition Volvo, the special C30 hatch delivers 250hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, standing for a boost of 23 hp and 37 lb-ft, due to the improved airflow in the combustion chambers and advancing spark timing.

During testing, the long-term 2008 Volvo C30 equipped with the stock turbocharged 2.5-liter I-5 engine and a five-speed automatic could accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds and could attain the quarter-mile mark in 15.5 seconds at 94 mph. Volvo said that the C30 Polestar edition offers the same standard EPA fuel economy estimates of 21/29 mpg city/highway with the six-speed manual and 21/30 mpg with the five-speed automatic. Comparable to the C30 R-Design model, the Polestar cars are tuned to be sportier with a 30% increase in spring stiffness and a 10% faster steering ratio. What makes the Polestar-edition model different from the regular $26,395 2013 Volvo C30 are the new 17-inch wheels with a matte-black finish and a Rebel Blue exterior color that’s new for the 2013 model year.

The leather seats are offered in either an off-black or a two-tone off-black and Calcite combination. Similar to what the 2013 C30 T5 R-Design’s Premier Plus trim offers, the C30 Polestar edition will also be getting a sunroof, HID headlights, power driver’s seat with memory, a power passenger’s seat, LED daytime running lights, and Volvo’s Keyless Drive. Consumers may opt for a 650-watt 10-speaker sound system, a navigation system and heated front seats. The C30 Polestar comes with a $1000 premium compared to a 2013 Volvo C30 R-Design with the Premier Plus trim.

I actually like Volvo, and I don't meet alot of people who stan them, not to mention buy them.

but their line-up is appealing to me. I like the "Polestar" version instead of the original C30, gives it that much of a sporty look and performance.

before i got my audi i drove 2 volvos. and really i have no complaints about them. and i could def see myself driving this polester.


while this looks good though. i want my next car to be a TTS or TTRS if possible

I like that Polestar too. I just wonder how much room it has. It looks practical though.
