Voting. We aren't Asian Americans. We aren't Arabs. We aren't Mexicans. We aren't Jews.

There are entire swaths of people in this country who would weaponize politics against us if they had their way. We need representation in politics simply because we are who we are and our history of oppression in this country.

I am not belittling group economics but its hard to practice it when you're constantly under the threat of laws specifically created to harm you.

Prioritizing politics over group economics is putting the cart before the horse...Cubans taking over miami was due to group economics (and help from the feds)...and now Blacks are powerless in Dade county

But those other groups were also under attack (to a lesser extent) until they weaponized group economics to lobby politicians. It’s telling that Asians vote at the lowest rates in presidential elections yet got a race-specific anti-hate law from Biden before Black people. Voting without strong group economics is like trying to build a football team with a garbage QB.

We aren't Cubans breh. They don't share our history nor our collective experience. I get that group economics are important. I don't want to undermine ge but for us participating in the political process is a matter of survival. IMO we really need to be practicing both. I'd say they're both almost equally important with voting having a slighter edge importance.

So every other group prioritizes group economics over voting and they’re doing better but we shouldn’t? That doesn’t make sense. Politicians are more loyal to their financial backers than voters.

Yeah…. Some type of Group Economics needs to be a part of our culture to some degree, cause at the end of the day, culture and money dictate policy and laws
