I like them my coworker had a Lambo orange r32 it had great handling, good looks and most importantly good speed. I can't comment on reliability as he bought it brand new and never had any issues(this was in 08-09).

any thoughts of them? I think they might be my first car. pretty much everything i want right now, except 4 doors
an example
2008 Volkswagen R32 , $10,895 - Cars.com
Go onto a VW car forum and read threads on the R32 Golf. I don't know how reliable it is.
The forum would detail people's problems and experiences. What breaks down? How much does it cost to repair? How many problems resurface? Stuff breaks down over time, and you have to replace it. I have an expectation that the radiator is going to crack maybe after 150,000. Stuff that breaks down due to bad engineering under 50,000 is bad juju and you want to stay away from that unless the replacement part is reliable. An example is the Dodge Neon cylinder head. It gets warped and the head gasket has to get replaced. That's an example of bad engineering.

they're nice cars. Idk about the reliability on this model. go to vwvortex and do your homework.

I don't trust cars from NJ either. I went and looked at an e92 M3 and it had been in an accident and nothing was disclosed.

Driven two of them. I say two because my friend had one and i crashed it trying to take a turn doing 80, so he bought another one. Fun little cars and they have some getup. Funny enough though after i crashed his car he ended up totaling it by crashing into a tree lol. Good times

Thats a good ass friend. Let you whip AND you crashed it AND yall are still friends? If that was me you would not have survived :francis:

CRASH is a strong word in my case. I bent his stock rims a little bit and threw the alignment off. it was like $500 worth of damage. He crashed it into a tree going 60 MPH. But yes we are great friends.

MkIv R32 is the GOAT. That exhaust note ....:banderas:... find one without electrical problems (oxymoron)... I'd rather live with that fussy bytch than a neutered MkV.
