Massive W. User replaceable batteries were implemented primarily because of profit.

Look at laptops nowadays. More and more parts (ram, SSD) are being soldered onto the motherboard. Making it almost impossible to replace and/or repair.

The right to repair is a massive W for consumers and the environment.

a lot of it is needed if you want a really slim product. but hopefully this kind of regulation will push the tech to be more modular and slim

Should be good. However we'll see them engineer the power use and battery so that you'll NEED to replace it more often
