He rode on the NXT shyt, it carried him and he never made an impression since then. The last entertaining thing he did was get chairs piled on him by Cena. Every other NXT member has been more memorable since then

Damn shame what has happened to this dude. He was once one of the most hated dudes in WWE and whether you blame him, creative or both it started with him NEVER truly going over Cena. Yea he went over and Cena had to "join" Nexus but it was bullshyt.

I never got the hype about Barrett. He was always boring to me.
Dude was the most rounded guy on that NXT season, definitely cut the best promos....

Sad thing about that was I was there live that night and the amount of people wearing Nexus t-shirts I saw was amazing... the crowd clearly wanted a new star that night... so Cena had to literally "bury" that man under 3 tons of chairs to crush those dreams

I remember that episode of Raw, to this day I still say that scene is how the episode should have ended: Cena walking away sad after officially losing his job planning to earn his job back on the next season of NXT as his masked mexican cousin "Juan Cena" while Barrett gloats in the far distance planning a hostile takeover of the WWE and everything fades to black... but instead we had Cena run back into the building 30 minutes later to beat up the entire Nexus single handedly
