Wait is this true about the naming of ancient African kingdoms?

It's possible when the European and Arabics came along they distorted and changed everybody name. I bet if mainstream used African original names for Egypt it wouldn't be as popular. One note is that some of thr Paharoahs with their original names not the Egypt ones can be traced back to their original homelands like Congo etc..

True.

Most African countries just picked random names & a lot of the names don’t represent the current location.

Ethiopia in history books has no correlation with today’s & most ancient philosophers/historians of the early centuries referred to black/Kush as Ethiopia.

But Ghana, Benin & Sudan are the weirdest ones cos they have no connection whatsoever with the original ones.

I’m truly embarrassed. I didn’t know. The Ghana one is blowing my mind.

All you just need to do is look at the map of Ghana empire & the people who built it. The empire was built by Mande people (Soninke) who primarily built Mali & Songhay as well while Ghana today is predominantly Akan.
