I Am Legend
On today’s episode of MLW Radio (www.MLWradio.com), top recording hip hop artist Wale, who just released a new single called ‘The Body’ stopped by to talk his two passions in life: pro wrestling and music.
Wale has been a fixture at major WWE events for years. During the course of the conversation with Konnan and Court Bauer, Wale revealed that he’s been recently sitting under the learning tree of prolific wrestling mind Paul Heyman:
“He’s a smart guy. He gets it…. He knows the game. It’s always good to get advice from guys like that. He’s been so influential on so many guys’ careers.”
UPDATE
Grammy nominated rapper Wale recently talked about his frustrations with WWE programming, when he was a guest on New York’s Hot 97 radio station.
Wale says he’s not impressed with WWE RAW, and criticizes the past few episodes in addition to several other comments.
Wale said the injuries are killing the WWE roster right now, and said the Total Divas show isn’t helping the Divas division at all. He referred to the reality show by saying the girls are more interested in catfights, and it makes the whole thing a bit corny.
The rapper, who was reported to being mentored by Paul Heyman, confirmed that he does talk or text Heyman daily, and calls Heyman ‘dope’ and says he ‘knows his stuff.’
Wale also talked about hoping WWE does something soon with Sting, a rumored fight he got into during a RAW taping in Washington, being an Ultimate Warrior fan, and more.

but Heyman has always had an ear for hip hop. Hope Wale comes with some heat.
when I found out Paul E. was late-20's-early-30's when he was running ECW

. I welcome it. If it weren't for the show Naomi and Summer Rae would have even less wrestling time if that's even possible. I think they just drop the ball on a lot of shyt. For example, the beginning of the Summer/Nattie feud could've delved into something more fleshed out for both. Could've been a good feud. Also, while sometimes I cringe about how much they expose, I appreciate the beyond the curtain look into the WWE. Plus I like playing spot the wrestler when they're backstage
