Walking Dead Season 1

So...I took a few hours today to throwback, and I watched some scenes and episodes from WD Season 1 and....

It just seems...different. Like - more epic, more movie-like. I mean, the past 2 seasons have been ok, and obviously things don't stay the same forever, but the character dynamics...the walkers...the music...the cinematography...It just seems different.

Thoughts on WDs progression as a show? I'm not a big TV guy, I know stuff looses quality sometimes, but Breaking Bad and The Wire seemed to stay on point...
