Any bros walk-on D1 in football or basketball?

How was the experience, was it worth it?

Did you get an actual shot to compete with the scholarship players?

I didnt walk on nowhere (i played juco ball) but there's been walk ons who put themselves on by playing well and going hard. You'll probably get a shot on scout team and you can prove yourself there. It's definitely possible to earn a scholarship after walking on.

Depends on what position you play.

You have more of a chance of getting some playing time if you are on the O line, d line, or a defense back

I was recruited to play bball so I cant answer your question 100% but walk ons have the same responsibilities as scholarship athletes. 2 walk ons were put on scholarship by their jr/sr yr...they loved I but they also loved the sport and knew their role

Was your boy nice and politics was holding bro down or he was really a bench talent?

He real live one of the hardest working people i ever met. It was prolly more politics than anything. But he Is like 5’7-5’8 so they had a semi legitimate excuse.

Wanted to but I guess fate and me not doing research made me not do it. I went to UTA for a semester but realized they had no football team. By the time I transferred to UH my passion for the sport was gone.
