Thank you Based Heisenberg :lawd:
I'd like to get a shirt made of this but I know I'll end up fighting somebody over it.

the whole point of the show was to show his deviation into a "bad guy" for the sake of his family

by the end of the show his family was repulsed by him and he died simping bytch ass jesse like some ol fakkit

Char you're the homie but I gotta disagree here.

The whole point was to show his deviation into a bad guy under the guise of it being for his family. It was never about his family, that's why they were repulsed by him. If it was about his family he would've taken the job at Grey Matter in season 1.

Dude got money to his family, murked all his enemies, and died without ever seeing the inside of a cell. That's about as close to a win as he could possibly get, given the circumstances.

fair enough

it was a good show overall but the last half of season 5 kinda left a bad taste in my mouth, it was all over the place

i understand that by that time his true motives had come to light and he was really doing it to feed his ego, but it still kinda cheapens the authenticity of the earlier seasons

i think my main gripe is how it all unfolded and the pacing and convenience of the second half of the season, it felt kinda forced

not as bad as dexter's finale buildup but it was still kinda :manny: to me

it was always obvious he had an ego problem, not that he operated a multi-million dollar meth ring strictly out of spite and pride...there were always pretenses for the urgency and immediate need for it (cancer, family, danger etc.)

it was once he got to the point where he could have stopped and had himself and his family comfortable for life, but kept going despite that, that it really became evident why he was doing it, which was his own validation

Hank was the hero of the show. Unfortunately for him the show was about a villain.
