They had an incredible level of popularity from 1992-1995 that gets downplayed a lot in favor of The Backstreet Boys and others White boybands.

Just like they do to new edition

They act like they dont exist within music with all the hits together and separate

With New Edition, it’s different. White people never really messed with them in the first place. There biggest hit is probably Stand the Rain and it only reached #44 on the Pop charts. As far as their solo careers, the average White person probably only knows/remembers My Prerogative and Poison. Outside of Bobby for reasons unrelated to his career, they’ve always been “Black famous” while Boys II Men where certified mainstream stars and don’t get that acknowledgement. It can be said that their entire template was recreated with New Kids on the Block and that deserves more credit.
