We all know this. Lots of profit made and then the owners lock the players out crying poverty. They either cook their books or refuse to show, eventually a one sided agreement is reached and the owners say they have everything they want, and then 5-7 years later they cry poverty and that the system is broken beyond repair and that they can't turn a profit and lock the players out and the cycle repeats again

Increase in revenue shouldn't lead to increase in BRI %.:comeon:

how if players are the number 1 reason for this increase?
revenue growth will lead to salary growth. And the NBA is a business. I dont see the owners going back to 57% share . Baseball players get around 40% and football players get 47%:heh:

I think the players should fight to maintain the 50-51% share they get right now b/c the owners are going to try to get more.

I hope the players saved their money this time around and are better prepared for the lockout.

True

Slight counter-argument can be made that NBA promotes individual players more than the other leagues and teams also have smaller rosters by a significant amount.. making each player more important comparatively than mlb/nfl players though..the nba player % should always be higher than mlb/nfl but 57 is too much to ask for.
