People aren't just doing this for fun and I won't even argue this with the state of the world we are in. Yes, 21 and hr for a warehouse job in CA is crazy work when the avg rent in 2100 a month.

I wasn't working at Walmart for fun. Hell my 2nd job had a lot of dirty labor too for $15/hr. Some bad days, but good days where I took it in stride and did my job without complaints.


To be honest, even if they made $30/hr it still wouldn't be enough for California. A lot of people making 6 figures are leaving the state.

If im in that position Im looking to learn a marketable skill and leave the state. Something like that doesnt happen overnight sure, but its worth it in the end because you're in a better place compared to people who make no real attempts at bettering themselves.

$18 is not "way above minimum wage".

Thats only 3 dollars more than minimum wage and 2 dollars less that the average warehouse wage in California. Amazon pays more than that and they're bottom of the barrel for warehouse work.
