After netting a top five single on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Gucci Gang," the South Florida rapper has reportedly landed a hefty advance check from Warner Bros. Records for $345,000, TMZ reports.

The five-album deal will reportedly enable Pump to retain 15 percent of his royalties from his debut album. He'll also be required to release at least 14 songs on each of his next five albums. For his fifth album, he can potentially make up to $500,000 if he continues to pump out hits, reports TMZ. To sweeten the deal, Pump received several kickers, including a percentage of money made off his merchandise.

Probably good idea to cash out now than staying independent.

I don't see him having a long career.

360 deal may help him, because the label will be more active in setting up his endorsements

Misleading title, its not 350K advancement for five albums, its 350K advance for his debut album. He will be getting another advance when he drops a forthcoming album

15% of his debut which probably be his best selling album anyway . Son might not make to the 5th album and if he do he may be washed anyway by that time so it not gonna matter
:yeshrug:

Is any one getting good deals who ain't a star all day?

he basically went to chase bank and got a $ 350,000 loan with interest......once he flops after the 1st lp, he going to be in a hole.... it's guaranteed a failure cause who's buying albums that's not kendrick or drake nowadays

This is the shyt Budden is talking about on everyday struggle but everyone calls him an old bitter hater

lil pump (from what i read) had a really strong streaming record. He could’ve made that money elsewhere. Instead he signed a really bad deal.

He’s getting up front money and then going to have to recoup it all and see pennies on his tour money. They said he “may” see money off his merch :mjlol:

If he was on his shyt he could’ve done all of this on his own and made MOST of the money. Instead, you’re paying someone to organize your tour and your studio time, so they can monetize off your talent.

What’s really wild about this is that these young men are savvy enough to get hot on their own through social media, and then they don’t see the value in staying independent...

5 album deal with 15% royalty and 300k advance is horrible fam. That is NO MONEY.

You can't even say they gave him a good budget for marketing recording etc. He got swindled. Bet he has no control over his releases which means that contract might never get fulfilled. He just signed to prison and gave up his touring and merchandising income for pennies on the dollar.

His whole team dumb af for letting him sign that deal. Textbook definition of highway robbery. Those around him that let him sign that deal don’t care about him. He’s like 17 years old he don’t know any better so I can’t blame him.

His music is ass but even so, c’mon son.
