She killed her sister's children, who she was basically the guardian of since her sister was unable to provide for them and left them with her 2 years prior to the murders. She had been abusing/beating them for months and they were dead for 2 months in the car.

The girl was 7 years old and only weighed 18 pounds. The boy was 5 years old and only weighed 21 pounds. She starved them even though she denied it. Doctors confirmed it in the reports. She also never had them enrolled in school and they never seen a doctor.
