I got my Samsung S7 edge taken apart completely and fixed by a 3rd party.
They replaced the sim tray.. all fine, looks perfect.

(you always get told that this invalidates your warranty right)

Three months later I have a new issue and need a replacement LCD.. but this time want to go to Samsung direct. I am 6 months into warranty.

My question ... will Samsung know about the prior fix as soon as they open the phone? Then say warranty invalid?

Thanks for help!

I went to a Samsung store back in August because my s7 edge had some sim card reading error. Turns out it was a motherboard issue, the first thing they did was check to see if Knox was tripped.

I'm assuming, as long as your Knox has not been tripped, you're fine. But refer to their warranty guidelines of course
