This is a great deal/look for the Warriors.

He's a solid backup and spot starter, they had Steve Blake as their backup PG last season.
They can stagger their lineup and put him on the floor with Curry & Iguodala for a different look without losing anything on defense.
Not bad. You can do much worse at your backup PG. He'll be a nice option to spell Curry, and they could even see some playing time together.

This is an outstanding deal for the Warriors. Especially with the final year being only partially guaranteed. Warriors needed another ballhandler and distributor in the worst way and they got the guy that was basically outplaying Deron Williams for stretches of the season.
Really, really smart move that poses very little risk. He's going to make everyone on the team better and I've yet to see a fanbase NOT like Shaun.
