Song came up on a random X playlist I had on and you can clearly hear him saying 50 on the intro and the song to me sounds like it could be a diss :lupe:

Just for context:
* 50 dissed DMX on how to rob which was released August, 1999
* "Tales from the Darkside" is a track from Irv Gotti's The Murderers album which was released in March, 2000
*The Murderers album is full of sneak disses going at 50 on almost every track, Ja's verse on when shyt gets ugly is probably the most obvious
*50 was shot up months later in May, 2000

I know DMX was Irvs man so it would make sense that he would jump in and defend him. Oddly enough 50 was featured on DMX grand champ album where styles P admitted to dissing him on the song they did. I dont know the story was wondering if anyone heard o this, was it a known thing or am i reaching??

50 didn't really diss DMX in How to Rob

He just said X wanted to get in on the jux, but 50 Cent does robberies on his own.

Also DMX recorded that verse in like 1995/1996. Damn near every DMX verse you heard from 1998-2001 are old rhymes from 3-5 years prior.

Here's him spitting that same verse in 1996
