Was 'Lord of War' any good (2005)

Entertaining movie

Yeah i was leaving the military when this was being made and i remember reading about how nobody wanted to finance /promote the movie, in a post 9/11 world producers/marketing got cold feet for real.

it's a fun movie, it's a good Cage performance, and supporting ones from Leto, and his wife.

It's very formulaic and cliched, gangster rises, gangster falls, realizes the value of family, tries to hold it together. Some good sequences. The Africa scenes I remember being good. I saw in theaters in 2005, and a few times since.
