After he became the face of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, as someone else mentioned it ended up lowkey being a blessing in disguise as crazy as it sounds.

Magic kinda reinvented himself as a very savvy business man. Without his diagnosis and having to retire in '91, I don't know if he turns into what he is now.

Dude is worth roughly about 700 million, so I would say Cookie's loyalty to him paid off greatly for her in the end.

Meanwhile a lot of other females are dealing with cheating, men having outside kids on them, physically abusing them, having low ambition, felony records, public shame, etc.
