Was Mr. Miyagi lonely? (karate kid films)

Just finished watching the fist three karate kid films with mr. Miyagi and daniel larusso.

Before miyagi met daniel do you think he was very lonely throughout his life? No spouse, children, and no social life really. Is anyone worried they will end up like that at his age?

He was probably lonely at times but Mr Miyagi had inner discipline and didn’t seem as if he had any regrets.


Having Daniel as his friend definitely helped.


Some people once they experience a certain level of traumatic loss would rather live a life of certain solitude. It serves as a coping mechanism of sorts.

Yeah, he was mourning the loss of his wife, whom died in an internment camp, while pregnant with their child. Miyagi was fighting in the war during the time. It's why he turned to a life of pacifism.

Daniel was such a complete dikk to miyagi in part 3, that's why I liked the way Mike Barnes beat his ass the entire movie
