After this last win in stillwater where the 3rd string QB put up numbers has me questioning weather RG3 was even good to begin with. I know he had that rookie season with the skins but that is after shanny ran baylor's offensive(pistol form) and RG3 was scrambling. After he got hurt he didn't want to run read options anymore and wanted to be more like aaron rodgers.

Puts up crazy numbers...has good teammates

goes 11-3

Nick comes in a 5th or 6th year dude who never even wanted to be an NFL player(played only for the free education). Puts up more yards than RG3

8-5 record

11-2 record

ends up getting drafted by the jets

9-1 record so far.

Seth Russell comes out of nowhere. This dude was beyond average at Garland HS in Texas and he leads them to a 7-0 record before getting hurt.

Then 18 year old Jarrett Stidham comes in and puts up the same type numbers as all the other QB's and the offense doesn't lose a beat.

There Wideouts also put up crazy numbers because of their system...Kendall Wright, Terrance WIlliams, Antwan Goodley, now Corey Coleman

shyt has me thinking if Griffin was even that dude :patrice:shyt looks like a plug and play type system to me. No wonder why he struggled when he had to throw from the pocket :martin: he was never good at it to start with.

Strong analysis. It never actually occurred to me to look into RG3's college career for answers as to why he's struggling today. Based on your analysis, most every Baylor QB puts up similar numbers to RG3, which implies RG3 was never as good as people thought he was (else the more absurd conclusion, which is that Russell and Stidham are Heisman candidate level QBs). You could have posted this analysis on Numberfire or Rotowire and gotten paid to post it. Nice investigation, @Darealtwo1

He wasn't bad but he was ran a simple offense and his run skills made it so Alford Morris could set a franchise record of yards in a season

Then he got hurt and they tried to make him a pocket passer only and now he sucks and been benched and forgotten

Yup. Dude was balling until shanny came around and literally try to break him and throw him into the bushes. He needs to leave that place and get a fresh start somewhere else

Yes, it would be one thing if he was like Andre Ware and others who never had the talent but RG3 put up great numbers and had impact. Just imagine if he was on a team like SF or SEA with great coaching and players around him at every position. With that said, Kyle Shanahan said it best, he didn't have a playbook, have a route tree or make multiple reads in college. This meant he had a STEEP learning curve. What he does have is great mobility, a good thrower, a good learner and he's has a great arm.
