Should be less than 80k....Anyone owned a Ferrari? How costly was it to maintain?...I plan to use it as a weekend car

or should I settle for a turbo 911 in the same price range?

911 Turbo all the way. Porsche’s are basically bulletproof, check the reliability, damn near Lexus level. You’re gonna get raped in maintenance w that sold ass Ferrari. And they look like shyt nowadays and are slower than the Turbo. Couple bolt ons, a tune and that Turbo is easily @ 600-700+ hp at the wheel. For less than $70k you can get a nice 2008-2009
Hey, check out this car I found on Cars.com: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/702428114/overview?aff=share_other

for 2008-2009 the auto tiptronic transmission is terrible, i would recommend if not getting a stick for any shopper to get a 2010 and up because it was revamped 997.2, from the 997.1 new interior, pdk transmission which is a gem to drive, and revamped suspension system.

Never buy a Ferrari unless you can afford to spend twice as much within a 5yr period on it. Meaning is the 360 worth $160k to you? If not dont get it. My dad had Ferrari and as much as he loved the car, it wasnt worth it to him as the car got older. He could afford it but had he known it would cost him as much as it did, he wouldve gotten a different car. Like I saw ppl say, I'd go Carrera.

If you can look at a Ferrari repair bill and not go :damn: then by all means get it.

If you want a ride that wont give your wallet that work then cop that 911.

I would pick the 360. Its one of the most beautiful looking and sounding Ferraris ever made.

Even though 911 makes more economical sense (Faster, newer technology, lower maintenance cost) they come dime a dozen and look boring to me. The exhaust sound is basically non-existent.

I would go with the Ferrari just find one in great condition that has all the major service completed..timing belt, clutch, brakes, new tires Etc

If you shopping for a $70k Ferrari you probably can't afford the maintenance. Something might be 5 figures if a serious issue comes up. Even basic oil changes might be $300-500 a pop
