Was this Cop wrong for knocking this guy out for stepping to him?

cop actually stepped up in his space which provoked dude to step up to him in return…watch where the cop was when the video starts…if it was just two regular guys then I wouldn’t give a shyt…but for someone whose job it is to “protect the peace” or wherever bullshyt they claim, he shouldn’t be out there instigating these type of situations
But when they get left with their brain leaking, the plea copping begins.
