We all know Verb outbarred him but dudes acted like it was the best angle but first off, X says why is Verb facing midwest dudes but really the only dude he faced he had ties with was Hitman and that was a classic, we wouldve been deprived of battle of the year if X angle was correct. personally I applaud Verb for battling anyone, these dudes that never battle within their click, its gonna get boring once all possible matchups are exhausted and you dont wanna face people from your own hood. Plus X didnt just call Verb out for battling st louis but midwest dudes as a whole but meantime X battled RemyD it just didnt air so he wasnt above that.

And the whole angle about getting paid less if you "lose" I dont know if I buy that. Losing is subjective plus weve seen dudes "lose" and still get top money at the next battle. Its about how many views you get.

So being as most people gave this in to X purely off the "great" angle he took, Im wondering if up reexamining that battle is way closer than we thought.

Verb was/is seen as the leader of the stl/midwest movement, he was the one who was like fukk NY we cannot have them dissin us and he was about unity between all the MW battlers and that they should stick together and dont let NY do them dirty etc etc. So outside of that 1st Smack MW event (Verb/Miles, X/Remy, Ill/Cal etc etc the MW battlers havent really battled each other they kept to the code/reasoning to why they should join up in the 1st palce which was orchestrated by Verb, but as everyone career progreessed, Verb went from MW this and that and I wont battle a MW battler to not giving no fukks and only battling for the money.

Most battlers make their name/pays dues from battling people in their city/state 1st, Verb made his name by battling people from outside while Ill & Hitman had to go thru each other and other MW battlers to get their name up, while Verb was smart enough to be the promoter so he didnt have to battle Ill & Hitman on the come up.

Thats jsut my take on it

good points I dont disagree, It was a good angle, Im just wondering if it was a little overated. What about the whole losing money if you lose a battle? I dont think I beleive that, Hitman getting a million views per battle easy, I cant see him getting less money cause he lost to Verb with his performance in that battle. I mean unless X is trying to blame Verb for Miles career ending but even though I thought Verb beat Miles, that battle is debatable so to blame Verb for that? If anything Tec 9 ended dudes career.

I don't really think so, it was dope and it worked perfectly. Add verb 's slip up and think it was a very clear X factor win.

Overrated as far as the actual dopeness of the angle but definitely not overrated as far as effectiveness and strategy. He knew they'd eat that shyt up with the show being in Chicago. Plus loyalty is a tried and proven lane to go with if you're trying to be on that grown man, not just gun bars shyt. Goes hand in hand with the priorities stuff.

You take into account how straight up uncomfortable Verb looked during X's rounds and it's impossible to not give that angle a lot of props.
