Watch Dogs 2 is in development, according to one of the original title's senior gameplay programmers.

The LinkedIn profile of Julien Risse, who's based at Ubisoft Paris, had the unannounced game listed on his profile alongside Watch Dogs and its Bad Blood DLC before removing it. Unfortunately, not before VideoGamermanaged to grab a screenshot.




Though Watch Dogs 2 has yet to be officially announced, there's been a strong suggestion it's on the way. No details about the game have leaked but, back in January, creative director Jonathan Morin said the original was flawed and the team needed to take risks with any potential sequel.

The original action title first launched worldwide May 27 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Since its release, where we gave it an 8.4 review, Ubisoft shipped more than 8 million copies of the game.

The possible protagonist of the next Watch Dogs game has leaked online via the Instagram account of a motion capture actor.

Spotted by Nerd Leaks (2), the actor who goes by the Instagram username TheKingCort posted the above image with the following description:

Had a blast doing motion capture work as the lead character in a new video game series! (= #actor #motioncapture #artist #videogames #ps4 #xbox #art #work #comingsoon #WatchDogs2

Officially, Ubisoft has announced that “the next installment of Watch Dogs” will launch before March 2017. Before this, sources of Kotaku claimed the game would be set in San Francisco and launch later this year.
