This gen has already been marred by nerds complaining about 2 things that no one has ever cared about in every game discussion.
Hopefully all this FPS garbage ceases and we focus on gameplay, fun and stuff we use to debate

You think nobody would like a game with better visuals? GFX is still part of a game, it doesn't need to be ignored. People do care about gfx and fps because we'd have bigger threads on indie games if we didn't.

Im betting you that the WatchDog graphics are fine for a majority of gamersYou think nobody would like a game with better visuals? GFX is still part of a game, it doesn't need to be ignored. People do care about gfx and fps because we'd have bigger threads on indie games.
sales dont prove anything about game quality though. all it would prove is what we already know, ubisoft spent more on marketing than they did on actually coding the game
I have no idea what it is nor do I care to ever learnForum dwellers with too much time on their hands dont speak for the entire gaming community. I bet the majority of gamers don't know or give a damn about what 60 fps is.
But that's not what I'm talking about, it isn't about whether or not the average joe schmoe finds the gfx fine, it's about the notion that nobody "cares" about resolution or FPS. Of course people care about it. Would you pay IMAX prices for a standard theater viewing of a movie?? And no of course people won't "not" buy a game because it's not 1080p/60fps. I'm buying MK8 in a couple of days and it's 720p/60fps. Would I like it to be 1080P?? Of course but what else can I do?? Skip it?? I have realistic expectations, i know the Wii U isn't a powerhouse so I'm not irrational like "skipping this". I think the dudes saying they wasn't buying a game because it's not 1080p/60fps is joking, nobody is that serious.Im betting you that the WatchDog graphics are fine for a majority of gamers
Game buyers will never buy a game because it's not 60 FPS or 1080p
Quality of the game is decided by the user.
Aren't you the same one that wouldn't stop complaining about infamous?
It did happen. It just wasn't as prevalent because HD was still new for many console gamers but now as PC gaming has become more popular and buzzwords have become mainstream it's a hot topic. It's not the deciding factor for everyone but to say that nobody cares about fps or resolution is nonsense. If I bought a game for my PC and the game was locked at 720p or capped at 30fps, i'd be pissed and want a refund. For consoles you really have no choice but to play the game but if someone is saying they'd say no to better gfx and performance for their games, I believe they're lying. I feel like the folks who like to ridicule dudes like me who say this are just trying to justify their expensive console purchases when another one is cheaper doing more.I have no idea what it is nor do I care to ever learn
But, there hasn't been a new gen discussion where this shyt hasn't taken over the conversation
It never happened in previous gens why now?

Different times and its something to talk about in console wars since the vast majority of games are multiplats these days due to the cost of development. But I imagine the avg gamer picked up a Xbone or PS4 to play COD or Assassin's Creed with better graphics and don't know anything about the resolution other than the fact that it looks better than the game they bought last year.I have no idea what it is nor do I care to ever learn
