Watching ads for the first time in nearly a decade and...

Talking about YouTube, I've had adblocker for nearly a decade and never seen ads

Honestly, I don't really mind, it's such a first world problem and there's other ways of being critical of capitalism

Anyways, my algorithm is pretty controlled, so my ads are very generic: dog food, cleaning supplies and healthcare

But while I'm not really noticing or really looking for stuff, one thing kinda struck me

The men are kind of effeminate, in every commercial — I don't expect Daniel Day-Lewis level acting, especially for a thirty second ad for dogset kibble, but every male in every commercial I've seen is kinda light in the Nikes

Anyone else watching ads for the first time?

Yeah using Youtube without premium I could never.. The frequency of ads alone give me a headache Idk how people are okay watching TV nowadays. I use my computer or phone to watch shows and movies and haven't dealt with ads for more than 4 years.

Same breh, I have never had this type of youtube experience on a computer before and their web browser experience is much different, they try to flood soo many commercials in one video its not even usable.. I didnt even know it was this bad.. Had to get another work around cuz hellllll nah

The drag all the way to the end then hit replay trick still works for me, they ain't as intrusive as I thought they'd be but they still set a bad precedent for going online
