i think im bout to start this show today. im going in blind. i pretty much know nothing at all about the show. no characters, no plot. all i know is that sorkin wrote the first few seasons and that it won a lot of emmys

The first 3 or 4 seasons was some of the best television ever...kind of fell off the last few season though.

John Wells takes over and the show becomes ERish. It is still great but they started having non politcal stuff happening from time to time.

Watching again via Netflix and it's still crack. His other show is crack too Studio 60, same bullet point writing.
