Currently on S3 E9.

So far, I like the fact that Marlo is out here moving militant for an underdog. Even this deep into the season he's been playing it very smart. OG from jail is a smooth cat too. Seeing him readjust to life is dope. Omar still the rogue warrior but there has been hints to major developments to his character since the beginning of the season. The Barksdale empire is looking shaky because String AKA The Original James St. Patrick has his own way of running things and it is catching up to him. McNulty's obsession with chasing after the glory of the job is finally getting more light.

And Pres... Jesus Christ, Pres.

Major fukking Colvin man. Good dude with great intentions, just tricky how he had to go about it. His idea was cool even if there was a bunch of red tape around it. 14%? Even if he caught heat for it they were damned-sure impressed.

Omar and Brother Meat Pie's standoff in the rain :ohlawd::ohlawd::ohlawd: I love when the writers don't do typical gun conflicts and make it some street cowboy shyt :whew:

GOAT show. Know a few people who were extras on doing random shyt like sitting on some steps eating a chicken box
:mjlol:

I think I shed a tear when young Wallace got clapped up season 1
:francis:

Season 4 really holds a special place in my heart tho becuz it really touches on what’s it’s like to grow up in this city

I know one of the lil nikkaz that were sitting on the steps when Marlo was giving out money for school clothes. And I knew one of the girls that were in that room when Cutty was about to fukk those 2 girls.

Ah man, season 3 wrapped up. Again, another bittersweet ending but we all saw it coming.

The Avon-Bell setup was crazy, but Bell definitely had it coming. Still, I find the scene where the detectives go into Stringer's apartment and find shelves among his luxurious pad dope as hell, causing even McNulty to question who the hell was Stringer Bell? Dude was an odd character in the game but an ideal one sans his more hasty amoral decisions.

When you are a man with no country, what do you put your faith in and work towards?

Yourself. You put your time and energy into yourself... That's who Stringer was at his core.

So I'm on S4 E1 as of now. I gotta say, this is probably the fastest I've ever run through a series. It is kinda wild to think that I breezed through three seasons in a couple days, and have the fukked up sleep cycle to show for it.

Anywho, so far S4 seems like a soft reboot of the series. There's no Barksdales around, and out of nowhere all these ghetto Goonies boys are suddenly given the spotlight.

Chris and Snoop :picard: Ruthless with the tools. Marlo's way of running things is to move quiet, gotta respect it. But even I know an empire with no bodies under it has no foundation. I know son gonna crumble and not the guns-blazing way Avon did. Avon took that L with a smile, but I know Marlo got some shyt coming for him.

Yea season 3 was epic for me... it seemed like everything stepped up from the writing which was already superb to the cinematography which got a lot crisper.

While season 3 was epic, 4 was a revelation. That shyt was just like daaammnnn.. so dark, real, and sad even.

Incidentally, I had a feeling that upon seeing these regular kids on the corner have all the spotlight that the show was about to take a darker turn. Season 4 seems like one of those "Now we're gonna introduce a whole bunch of new characters and shyt is going to get very real soon"-type of seasons.

Also, season 4's intro is hands-down my favorite.
