But that said, why do these kids suck so much? Out here struggling with Green Hill Zone?

I beat this when I was like 7 or 8 and could beat the first few boards in my sleep. Hell, my mother got bored one day when I was at school and beat Sonic 2.

half of them couldn't even make it through Green Hill Zone. I still remember a previous vid they made where none of them could beat Glass Joe in Punch-out
Just the utter lack of any kind of pattern recognition is beyond to me.

I hate to sound but it feels like games today really ARE easier. Also, 2D games don't seem to be as widespread/common as they used to be, so nobody's used to playing them anymore. Just a guess...

I suck at video games in general, but today's games are more complex but infinitely easier than back in the day.

Today's kids would shyt the bed if they had to play level 3 on Ninja Turtles 1 or level 1 on Double Dragon 3. Those levels made you hate life.
