What other ways can I continue my education w/o Pursuing a master's degree

I work for the gov't (local), just got the job in Aug 2017. It is environmental work (sampling, monitoring, analysis, regulatory work)

What options are there for me? I have a BS from NCSU.

Certs, certs and certs really. I look at Master degrees as the educational framework where as the Cert is the practical knowledge and application of said acquired skill.
certs are better than a masters? Or are they just as good?

Since i work in gov't i think they will pay for them, i would definitely go after certifications in environmental science that i will be eligible for, and that are relevant to my concentration.

Depends on your field. For very practical and dynamic fields Certs may make more sense as it allows you to retrain your skill set when new processes and actions are being introduced to the field.

Masters degree may serve to give you the broad based knowledge and scope to begin or accelerate your career in a specific field.
