According to former Mars executive Alfred Poe, PB Max was discontinued due to the Mars family's distaste for peanut butter, despite $50 million in sales.

If I ever get to bite into a PB Max again before I die, I'll probably cry tears of joy.

Now way way way back in the day they had Starbar, but only for a quick second then they discontinued them. Argubably the greatest candy bar ever made. Up there with Snickers and a Hershybar

But they still make them in the UK and you can sometimes find them in specialty candy shops
