If they think they can pull off the Yankees soft rebuild from a couple of years ago then they are sadly mistaken.
Not having the August 31st waivers deadline doesnt help them at all.

Moving it back to July 31st makes it a "shyt or get off the pot" now or never situation for alot of these teams in both leagues that will be hovering or around .500

Even looking at thier current tradable assests on the major & minor league levels if they decided to make a serious run is comedic.

JBJ/E-Rod/Pearce/Workman/Barnes on the ML level.

Duran & a bunch of 40 FV lottery tickets that's either too young to be taken serious as a serious chip or are too old for thier level & are hurt.

They'll keep it interesting till the London series then you'll start to see the real retooling begin for that franchise.

What can he honestly say at this point other than he's not getting a great read on flyballs. Going down to AAA wont help either , either learn a new position on the fly at the major league level or keep him at DH.

During this upcoming road series they'll be able to hide him in LF since it's not as cavernous in TOR & Cle.

Vent: I CANNOT stand when Suzyn Waldman sucks her teeth EVERY TIME an opposing batter hits a ball well or when a Yank hits it poorly.
I simply cant stand Suzyn Waldman

If he’s not going to be an outfielder for the Yankees I honestly can’t see him here for long. Like I said earlier, I would not be surprised if he gets traded for pitching depth.

That's the thing, you have an opening in LF next season & it makes sense to hold on to him.

The Yankees have enough trade chips to aquire pitching help.

The bar in terms of having a productive draft class for the Yankees is the 2011/2012 class.

So far they've drafted a 2 potential utility players and a back end starter all with decent floors.

Here's to hoping they grab high ceiling players on the 2nd s
Day
