These wild card races are going to be a dogfight and I’m glad the Yankees won’t be anywhere near this bullshyt. From Aug 15 til then end of the regular season we gotta focus on home field.

Every injured player better just use this time to heal up for October and sharpen things up the last 2 weeks of the season. That’s the best offensive outlook because these bats (and the bullpen) will have to do the heavy lifting our pitching won’t be able to do.

I mean, sure, why not call him up in September to pitch a few times and get acclimated to MLB speed? He had some success up until he went to AAA. Let's see what he has.

He can play "opener" each week, going 2-3 innings. One time through the lineup should be enough to build off of. If he tanks or struggles, it gives us video to work off of vs MLB hitters. If he has success, he maintains his shiny prospect status and we use him accordingly.

At the very least, he'll give us a September shot in the arm, something to be excited for, if we continue to run away with the AL East.

Paxton has strung together a few quality starts in a row

Wait and see with him. His last two outings were against Boston (impressive) and Baltimore (quality). Prior to that, his prior 2 outings vs. Boston and Colorado were pretty bad. We'll see if he can stablize, or at least have more quality outings than the crappier ones.

Edit : I know I’m a Yankees fan but seeing how they are discussing trouts season and I see his numbers I’m like ok they are good but this isn’t a career achievement award is it ? It’s for the most valuable player

Trout dikk riders are the baseball version of drake fans. You'd think he was putting up 01 Bonds or 1920s babe ruth numbers while playing tori hunter level defense the way they talk about him

there's definitely been chatter about djm in the mvp race.. it's died down a lot though.

trout's numbers are better across the board

it'd have to be the "but his team sucks" argument but he might be having his best season yet so i doubt the voters are gonna deny him mvp
