I can say atleast 90 percent of watchable/decent shows starts off strong then either fizzle out or has bad ending.
We have seen this happen to otherwise great shows like Dexter,Power,house of cards,GOT season finale etc
Dexter and House of cards still has the worst drop off in quality of all time imo, what were the producers/writers thinking
HOC should have been never been renewed after the kevin spacey debacle
There are only a handful of legendary series that was great from the first to the very last season like the wire,breaking bad,24
. Some shows would have been status if they only lasted 3 or 4 season max.
