Animals are naturally cautious of people, so for him to hop up there and refuse to leave even when people are making eye contact and approaching him means that he's tired, and he's probably thirsty since he's panting. Feeding animals can be dangerous because if they start to associate you with food they may think that you ARE food.
As non-agressive as they are, cheetahs are still cats. Your domestic house cat can scratch you and bite for no fukking reason. If a larger cat like a cheetah takes a swipe at you or bites you, logically you'll be in more pain and need more serious medical attn.

i’m confused as to why the cheetah didn’t attack the people in the van. I see on nature shows they routinely attack animals near our size. Cheetah didn’t even care abt them until dude got close for a selfie and then it just nonchalantly backed up a bit.
