The Deacons were from Louisiana. I read the Book and don't remember any mention of them outside the south. But they were super bout that life. Had the Klan on skates when they heard they would be doing security for any marches.My girl taught 3rd grade last year and one of her students asked if she knew about the deacons for defense. He said his mom said grandpa was part of them out in cali. shyt had me likethat a 3rd grader knew about them.
