They won for the sole reason that they got players that actually have a chance, a very good one at that, of staying past just this season.
They essentially traded a rental for 2 quality players. Who might actually want to stay in IND.
If OKC continues like this, very likely PG bounces. So they basically gave up 2 young assets to give Russ the illusion of contention for a year.

They won because PG wasn't going to stay there past this season, not because Oladipo and/or Sabonis are better players than PG. Plus, I don't see the sense in making this thread when PG's ballin' right now.
